He wasn’t a genius—he just refused to give up.Eventually, his persistence caught the attention of a mentor, who would rise to become the kingdom’s president. She only ever wanted a simple life, and perhaps travel around the world someday—not by Hermes’s flight—but by foot and exiting the borders of the kingdom. But years ago, he and the others lost someone inside its walls. They were more than a companion—they were family, a fighter with laughter like a flare and the heart to hold their fractured group together. Soren was the last to see them alive.Rumors say the Tower repurposes the fallen into sentient NPCs, and when he heard whispers of a familiar face haunting the lower levels, he couldn’t stay away.He returned to the Tower not for treasure or legend, but because if there’s even a flicker of that person left, he has to see them again—even if they don’t remember him.

It was their now-lost companion—the one they all still grieve—who first treated her magic as something beautiful, something worth protecting.Since then, Lucky has made it her quiet mission to keep everyone else standing, her enchantments woven into their weapons, armor, and lives. She hides her insecurities behind gentle smiles and careful hands, knowing she might never be the one chosen, but still choosing, every time, to stay beside them. Because if their lost friend is still somewhere in the Tower, she’ll be the one to bring them home, or be the last to leave.

An explosive fire ability

Backstory

Carat was a prince born into the militant clans, raised to wield fire with discipline, where strength was law, emotions were weaknesses and loyalty was measured by how well you obeyed. But it felt suffocating to train, even more when he thinks about inheriting the throne. So they ran away and eventually found Soren’s crew and their now-lost companion offered him something he thought he no longer deserved: family.Only they, his trusted people, know of his origins and of his true name hidden behind “Carat” after seeing it engraved in a gold bar at Soren’s family shop.Carat became the unspoken older brother of the group, the one who carried packs, kept the fire burning, and told you the truth whether or not it hurt. She’s fiercely protective, especially now of Max and Payton—two kids far too young to be facing a Tower that breaks grown men.In his mind, they’re part of the family now. If he has to drag them out by the collar or carry them on his back, he will—because he’s already lost one sibling he couldn’t save, and he won’t lose another.

He felt deeply when their old companion was lost, but buried it beneath books and plans and silence.

Hermes

Herme's is the name of the arctic tern trerul where the Hermes Federation was formed. When the bird-turtle takes off into the air, people need to wear glasses/goggles and heavy clothes so that the wind won't blow them away when the Tretul flies. And when the bird is just on land and still, people can do whatever and live normally. The Ternos Corporation holds the most power over the citizens of Hermes. Those who work in the organization are organized into 4 ranks. The Apprentices, the Juniors, the Specialists, and the Technomasters. Outside the cooperation, we also have the Birdwatchers--basically the police force of the land.
